Name: Ma. Magdalena R. Alonso
Age: 18 in human age (but looks younger)

Appearance:
Maria Magdalena or "Mana" has warm chocolate brown eyes and waist length wavy chestnut brown hair with lots of flyaway strands (they represent the island that make up the Philippines) that cant be tamed. she also has a small cowlick that is detached at the top of her head (as batanes) and a single strand that is attached to it (as palawan). On the left side of her head is a flower clip with two dangling pearls (the flower is her national flower and the pearls symbolize her title as 'Pearl of the Orient Seas').

Mana has tan skin from all her outdoor activities such as farming, being a volunteer, swimming at the beach etc. she is always out in the sun that she acquired a slightly permanent golden glow. She is about 5' and a half and petite in build despite having been gifted generous assets. 

Personality:
Mana is a cheerful, strong and energetic girl, she is very hospitable and loves giving gifts or 'pasalubong'. Very hard working to the point of exhaustion, and is patient and self-sacrificing just to help ease her people's daily lives. She's creative and good at improvising and making use of available resources which is often very limited. Mana is also a family-oriented girl and is fiercely protective of who she calls her family, and is ready to share and help anyone not just her family.

But she sometimes have bouts of the 'mamaya na'  or 'bukas na lang' habit when laziness strucks her, other than that she often finds it hard to say sorry or admit her mistake as her precious pride gets in the way coupled with her stubbornness. She is also hard headed and will not easily change her mind once she sets her mind to it. Even if she is prideful sometimes she lacks self confidence and find it hard to boast her achievements becauses she might be regarded as a show-off. 

Her most redeeming trait is her flexibility and resiliency, she can adapt to whatever misfortune happens to her. She can smile in midst of problems and hardships and even tell jokes despite being stressed, proving her strength emotionally and mentally.

*Random information (headcanon)*

• Philippines had long hair during her precolonial years but when Spain came and tried to conquer her and succeeded, she cut her hair short as a symbol of her lost freedom.
• During the 1560s Spain did something to Philippines which led to her lose her memories about her precolonial years.
• Philippines and Belarus has a weird relationship, as Belarus respects Philippines because she can deflect any of her knives and a good sparring partner and Philippines is the same as Belarus as she gives her practice with eskrima using her blades.
• Philippines and France has a mutual relationship, they relate to each other about the human they loved was killed for trying to save their countries, Joan of Arc for France and Dr. Jose Rizal for Philippines. They sometimes drink together when they want to reminisce.
• She can talk about her harsh colonial days nonchalantly, but when Spain is near she hide behind the closes person to her.
• Has a friendly sister rivalry with Malaysia.
• She wants to say to Spain she forgives him but every time she musters up her courage someone always whisks her away and after that her courage vanishes and can't face Spain anymore.
• She loves going to Karaoke with S. Korea. (they recently became best friends)
• She still uses magic but keeps a low profile when the magic trio is near.
• Sometimes she naive and gullible due to 300+ years of being suppressed by the Spanish empire.
• She has lots of part time jobs from bartender, sub teacher, nurse etc.
• Hungary and Belgium try to act as an older female head for Philippines in order to compensate for what Spain did to her. (they sort of felt guilty because they knew Spain)
• Philippines had a hard time trying to connect to her ASEAN family because not only she can't remember them (amnesia) but because she became very westernized.
